This year, juniors took the digital PSAT in October. As promised, scores are available earlier than ever. Some students’ scores were released on November 6th. If you did not get your score then, it should be available today, November 16th. You can view your scores at collegeboard.org. Just log in and click “PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9 Scores.”
Understanding Scores
You can find information on interpreting your scores here, including a link to download the BigFuture School mobile, app, which offers information about scholarships and financial aid, and college/career advice based on your score (take with a big grain of salt!) The app also shows your PSAT percentiles and your NMSC Selection Index Score and tells you whether you meet the entry requirements for the National Merit Scholarship Program. You can also request a pdf of your score report with the same information from your school’s guidance counselor.
Need More Help? Free Consultations and Webinars
You can also get help interpreting your scores and figuring out next steps from More Than A Teacher. Schedule a free consultation or attend one of our free webinars. The next one is December 6th at 6:30 pm, and it will be recorded for the benefit of those who can’t make it.
Try a Practice ACT
Before scheduling a consultation, you may consider taking a practice ACT. Our experts can then compare scores to decide whether the SAT or ACT would be a better fit and help you plan for spring testing.
